The YMCA soccer complex hosts a number of exciting soccer tournaments for opponents throughout the region. The Pumpkin Harvest Festival is wonderful fall celebration with parades, fun, and games. November 11 – Veteran’s Day Parade in Uptown Beckley. This parade, sponsored by the American Legion, is your chance to get out and show your patriotism. Veterans and civilians will gather to salute those who have served. Go to http://legion.org
December 4-6 – Annual Appalachian Coal Town Christmas & Light Festival at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. Experience December days and evenings packed with the sights, sounds, fragrances and flavors of an Appalachian Coal Town Christmas. Lighted tours of the entire exhibition area highlight this event that’s become a holiday institution. This event is hosted by the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Youth Museum of Southern WV. December 5-6 – Christmas Concert at Appalachian Bible College. Come hear voices lifted in praise at this holiday concert in the ABC Auditorium. Enjoy all of your favorite Christmas carols and holiday gospel songs performed by the students. Visit http://www.abc.edu for more information.
