Bluegrass Country, KY

When you’re traveling Interstate 65 and get just south of the Derby City (Louisville KY), you will have made it to Bourbon, Glass and Bluegrass Country. Wives grab your husbands, Girls grab your Bo’s and promise them a taste of sweet nectar. The kind that come from sweet limestone spring water, naturally grown corn, rye and barley malt all distilled and married up for several years in a charred white oak barrel.

Shepherdsville-Bullitt County is the home of the world famous Jim Beam Bourbon Distillery. Ladies speaking of sweet nectar, you can keep it to yourselves and tell them when you get here if you want. The Wight-Meyer, MillaNova and Brooks Hill Wineries are located just off the interstate and close to unique shopping and dining. The Hawk’s View Glass Blowing Art Gallery and Café, true outlet stores (Zappo’s Shoe outlet and the Quilt outlet) as well as Antique and Flea Markets can be kept a secret also.  If the Bourbon doesn’t get him here, tell him about the areas newest and finest Championship Golf at Heritage Hill, or several other things Bluegrass. From Friday night Bluegrass Music shows, to Hiking and Biking Adventures at Bernheim Forest, this trip might not have to be top secret at all. We think you will both enjoy all we have to offer.
